srr-queue bandwidth limit

I have WAN links that are ethernet based on gigabit interfaces, but have only 150Mbit/s capacity.

Can i use the "srr queue bandwidth limit" in combination with a priority queue?

Something like this:

srr-queue bandwidth share 1 20 40 40

srr-queue bandwidth shape 10 0 0 0

priority-queue out

srr-queue bandwidth limit 15

Does this make the priority queue 15Mbit/s?

Thanks,

Jacco

Jacco,

When you use the srr-queue bandwidth limit, it rate limits the port speed.

So on a 100Mb link this command will limit the rate to 15Mb

All other QoS configurations will be based on this.

so in you example this restricts the port limit to 15MB and not the priority queue alone

HTH, rate if it does
