transmit a power plant RTU data to another RTU

hi,

We want to transmit a power plant RTU data to another RTU over an Ip Network.This part of network is consist of two 1760 (with serial module) that are connected to each other by 3750switches that are connected through fastethernet ports by fiber optic.

Modem of this Rtu (ids wt850) claims that it converts fsk data to serial RS232 and says that supports HDLC on its port.

When i connect this output to 1760serial module the protocol does not get up and always is down .(line is up)

how can i make this connection?!

The size of the data segmentation in bytes. The valid range is from 8 to 1600 only

Hi,

if the rtu device does regular HDLC, this can be transported in a point-to-point fashion using a feature called STUN. Please search configuring STUN on CCO.
