I try to connect two Cisco 2504 router together with DCE-DTE cable at serial 0 at both side. However, it is not work, when i try to use serial 0 and serial 1 at each side. it works again.
What is the problem ?

Can you configure "clock rate" on the DCE side and see if that helps ?

I have a couple of questions:
1) Is the S0 in working condition?
2) Are the ports in "no shut" state ?

In addition to that can you check whether you have the command 'frame-relay intf-type dce' on the DCE interface.

all the setting as following
ip address
subnet mask
working condition
all both two port have setting probaly
however, when i use s0 to s1 with same setting it works not in s0 to s0

can you post the configs on both ends when you are using s0 and s0 AND so and s1.

What do you mean by working condition. Is in the interface in up/down state. What is the status of the interface signals, DCD/DTR etc. Can you post the relevant configuration?

It would be easy to troubleshoot if you can provide more info.
Could you post the
1) "sh run" for interfaces s0 and s1 on both the routers you are connecting?
2) "sh interface" for s0 and s1 for both the routers
