7914 with Unified CME 4.0(3) only red lights

the 7960 phone registers and works but the 7914 just sits with red lights. How do i get it set up

You should set a phone button template for 7914. Under device>device setting>phone button template, find 7914 or form it yourself and select the bottons and their features(there should be a button template named 1-7914 7960). Then, select this phone button templete under 7960 device settings.

plese check you have latest FW on the 7914, line 5.0(2). Then the most used setup is:

ephoe XX

type 7960 addon 1 7914

button 10mZZ 11mKK 12mYY

ZZ, KK, YY are ephone tag (not DN) of extnesions to monitor.

I have CallManager 4.2 and when I try to connect the 7914 to the recepcionist 7960 with the 14 line template and the device configured for the Expansion Module the module lights up all buttons red and the 7960 shuts down. I've tried to connect the 7914 to a regular 7960 with only one line ant it kind of works. I get the speed dials to work but no button lamps.
