Are you using an FXO card ? Which IOS SW are you using ?

Please be more specific when reporting technical problems.

I am using FXO card to connect PSTN to my voice gateway.

I can call from PSTN to IP Phone normally and opposite.

But i have problem:

I call from PSTN to IP Phone and if i hang up when IP Phone is not picked up, my phone will busy for long time. I recall and hear busy signal.

Any one can help?

Thanks

What command do you have to ring the IP phone?

If you are using connection plar, can you please try connection plar opx ?

You should also try to upgrade to recent IOS, and configure supervisory disconnect.

Hi, here is my config on fxo voice port connect to pstn:

voice-port 0/2/0

supervisory disconnect anytone

timeouts call-disconnect 5

timeouts ringing 10

timeouts wait-release 5

timing hookflash-out 500

connection plar opx 1900

caller-id enable

1900 is a route point to call manager.

I have problem as follow:

- I call to voice gateway an hear greeting, i disconnect call . After that, i recall and this phone line is busy.

- I call to voice gateway, hear greeting, press extension number 1999 to call to IP phone. I disconnect call, but ip phone is still ringing . I recall and line is busy. After that i pick up the ip phone 1999 and hang up it, and when i recall the line is ok.

I don't know whether this problem from callmanager or from voice gateway.

Any one know how to solve this problem

Thanks alot.

Any one can help?

Hi,

bad case of supervisory disconnect. It should not be so severe, even in lack of any method.

I would first upgrade the GW to latest maintenance. If it happens againg verify thet either battery reversal or power denial are available from telco and apply if they are.

Failing thius, would configure the tones as appropriate ( is not). Are you using H.323 ?

Any chance that you can have ISDN ? That would never happen with ISDN.
