Hi,

Native VLAN is there by default, and it is VLAN number 1 by default and can't be deleted.

HTH, please rate if it does help,

Mohammed Mahmoud.

The native vlan is whatever vlan you assign a port and to which it will return if it is not in a trunked state . To set a port for a particular vlan use the " set vlan X slot/port" command .

Hi,

To make the answer complete without misunderstanding, i meant that it is VLAN1 by default, and it can be changed per Trunk interface.

The native VLAN packets are sent untagged on the trunk link. Therefore, the native VLAN should be the same on both switches configured for trunking.

In CatOS, the native VLAN can be changed by issuing the "set vlan vlan-id mod/port" command, where mod/port is the trunk port.
