This configuration means that in the case of no match in the routing table (populated with either EIGRP or static routes) the default route is used having the next hope 192.168.100.17(CORE SIDE), there is no problem by doing this as a Gateway of last resort.
As mahmoud suggested the u r DS1 will be going to farword the traffic it it doesnt matches any routes in u r routing table to 192.168.100.17.this is the gateway of last resort.
