2 Cisco Phones, 1 SIP Number

Hi,

I've 1 Cisco 7960 phone. I use it with SIP. The phone is "waiting for a call". So, when I call my number with my mobile phone, the Cisco 7960 rings.

That's all good!

But now: I'm thinking to buy 1 more Cisco 7960 phone. Same configuration. Same SIP number. But can somebody tell me how that works. If 2 phones are connected with SIP, and I call my number, wich phone rings? Both?

Thanks.

That depends by the provider. They may send the call to both, or just to the one that registered later.

Anyway, I understand that your phone is behind nat. That can cause problems because both phones are seen to be contacted at the same address and port.

If you place a small router like 1750 or 1751V, you can rune CME on it and have a full-featured PBX.
