i haveben asked this question in interview and i had no idea what this term ospf leaking means can some guru please explain.....regards and thnaks in advance

No definite technical meaning in my opinion.
Sometime, the process of route redistribution is referred as "leaking". Other possibility is a reference to a memory leak, although less likely.
In any case, a not exact terminology has been used by your interviewer.

an interview is a tour-de-force.
I would simply ask the interview when can a Type -2 LSA be seen on a point-to-point network...
The interviewer would never try that junk again with me...
Here is an example one interviewer asked me if I knew "reload in". I explained that with NTP, I prefer "reload at".
