Preparing for CCNP Exams

Unanswered Question
Apr 30th, 2007

I passed my CCNA and now I am working on CCNP. What are the best ways to prepare for the exam? I am not very good in reading the book but I am very excited about the CCNP prep center. Is it a must to read the book to get the knowledge? or is there any other ways? excluding setting up the lab. Please let me know.

I have this problem too.

CCNP is not only about practical knowledge, it is also about theoretical knowledge, so i guess that you must read the books.

Sorry..that's not what i meant. I am more attentive to visual learning (for example - CCNP prep center). Since I work at a datacenter, setting up a lab shouldn't be that hard. I was just worried if I don't read the book, It would be hard to pass the exams.

I've always felt that even if you have the knowledge and experience, the certification books are good for focusing in on the exam objectives - for any vendor certs really. but i've never taken an exam without having read some sort of book specific to that certification exam.

2.Cbtnuggets BSCI (642-901)
