Inserting a pause in a dial string

Is it possible to insert a pause in a dial string using CCM 4.2? For example, on a voicemail speed dial a pause could be inserted after the VM extension and then a password could be automatically entered.

Thank you for the help

Hi Brian,

The "," (to add a 1 second pause)still only works on CME (BUMMER)

Telephone number to dialed. Represents a fully qualified E.164 number. Use a comma (,) to represent a one-second pause.

From this CME doc;

http://www.cisco.com/en/US/products/sw/voicesw/ps4625/products_configuration_guide_chapter09186a00807d62fa.html#wp1010364

**For CCM it looks like Feature request/Bug CSCec41905 (ability to add pause in Speed dials) is still open :(

Hope this helps!

Rob

Thanks for the response Rob, looks like I'll have to wait for that feature.

The stuff I've read indicates that it is supported with H.323 Gateways, but not MGCP. However I've yet to see a specific example.

has Cisco ever resolved this issue? If so, in what version?

Thanks

Matt

Hi Matt,

Still not fixed :( The CSCec41905 Bug/Feature request is still open.

Sorry man!

Rob
