I define a phone-template below:

phone-template 2

softkeys hold Resume Newcall

softkeys idle Redial Newcall Cfwdall Dnd Pickup

softkeys seized Redial Endcall Pickup

softkeys alerting Endcall

softkeys connected Hold Endcall Trnsfer Park Confrn

softkeys ringing Answer Dnd

I apply the template to 7961/7941/7911. There is no problem with 61 and 41, but when pressing the "Answer" softkey to answer a call, the 7911 phones display "the key is not active here". Some documents describe that 7911 has a one-way speaker(listen mode only), is it true? Or the "Answer" softkey can not be used with one-way speaker?

Hi Michael,

This debate comes up every once in a while. The determining factor for using the "Answer Softkey" with the Handset On Hook is whether or not the phone model has a speakerphone. If Yes then Answer Softkey is supported, if No (like the 7911,7912,7905) the the Answer Softkey with the Handset On Hook is not supported..

Hope this helps!
