SSH user name

Hi,

I am unable to change default username "pix" for my ssh access on pix firwall 515E running 7.1(2)

I can not see this username configured any where even in running config.

any sugesstion ?

This is normal, that is the builtin account that uses the passwd password. You cannot change this account username.

You can change the password of it with :

passwd [YOURPASSWORD]

Hi,

what you can do is you can add other usernames and passwords with the command:

username test password test

aaa authentication ssh console LOCAL

this means you are authenticating SSH users with the username and password created locally...
