Solved: 4006 - Sytem conversion CatOS to IOS

Hello,

I need to upgrade a Catalyst 4006 from CatOS to IOS.

I have some doubt.

Is it possible? Wich are the rquirements? Wich is the procedure? Any issues?

Hi Enrico,

You cannot convert from CATOS to IOS on Cat4006.

SUP 1 & Sup 2 on Cat4000 switch only supports CATOS and NOT IOS.

Hi,

The Catalyst 4500/4000 Series Supervisor II-Plus, III, IV and V runs Cisco IOS? software only, and does not run Catalyst OS software. While Supervisor 1 and 2 runs only CatOS and can't be converted.
