Determine H323 version

Can anyone tell me how to determine which versin of H323 is running on the gateway.

We are having intermttant problems with one way audio after being on-hold. I read Cisco's document regarding this issue and they recommend checking "Media Termination Point Required" in the Gateway options of CCMAdmin.

After further research, I found that this option only needs to be checked if H323 does not support hold and transfer features. I gathered from my reading that the older versions of H323 do not support these features.

Thanks in advance for any help.

Thanks for replying. I already tried the Show Gateway command. I don't receive any relevant information. All that is displayed is:

This gateway is not registered to any gatekeeper

Alias list (CLI configured) is empty

Alias list (last RCF) is empty

Any idea what this means?

Most likely you are running an older IOS version.

Hi,

can you upgrade a least to 12.2(46) ?

That would not give you the h323 version with "show gateway", but it _might_ resolve the one-way audio issue.

Hope this helps, please rate post if it does!
