Hi;
If i put an GLC-T (1000BASE-T SFP) on 6500 chassis, does it works with my 10/100 DSL modem. So; can GLC-T module set its speed to 100Mbps automatically?
Sorry for this amateur question?

Hi,
No, sorry GLC-T 1000BASE-T SFPs do not support operation at 10 Mbps or 100 Mbps.
You are always welcomed.

Hi,
I have "GLC-T (1000BaseT SFP)" use in 3750, its 10/100/1000 and also can be Auto - I able to put it to Auto, hardcode to 100 and 1000, haven't tried hardcoding it to 10. I don't have a 6500 to try to plug it though to check.

Hi Dandy,
The 1000BASE-T SFP can support 10/100/1000 speeds only on the Cisco Catalyst 2970, 3560, and 3750 Series Switches.
Here is the link supporting my statement

Hi,
Thanks for the link, I can't find it earlier or as I can't try the module in 6500.
I know the GLC-T 1000BaseT SFP doesn't support 10/100/1000 in all platforms but I can't remember where I read it from, that's why I mentioned that I haven't tried it in 6500 but I can't be certain.
That worth 5 points :)
