In looking for a way for the inbound caller to do a company directory search(Dial by name) to find the person and then connect the call. Basically I want the same functionality that he Unity Company Directory(Dial by name) offers within a script. I know that I can redirect the call to a Unity Call Handler(Company Directory). My problem is how do I return the caller back to the script if the Company Directory(Dial by name) fails for some reason? Is there a better way to accomplish this task within the scripting environment?

There's an example script of this exact thing for you. Look in- crseditor_install_path\scripts\system\default\aa.aef
Check out the Simple Recognition step -> DialbyName

I guess I should have known that. The dial by extension works fine but the dial by name can't find any users. Were using AD integration. Is this a TAC supported script?
