Looking through a test lash-up in our lab, I've been playing with labels on 7200s and 7600 (Sup32). I've come across 7200 appear to support 2^20 max labels (per RFC Draft), however the 7600 won't configure past 2^19. Does anyone know what that "bonus bit" and/or the balance of the labels are up to?
Thanks,
TimM

Maximum Range for the router 7600 is 524287.

RFC 3032 has 20 bits for labels (2^20, 1048575 max labels). The 7600 has 19 bits allowed for configurable max label space (2^19, 524287 max labels). It appears that one bit is used directly by the IOS. Any ideas what that bit is used by the IOS for?
