ISDN Dialer Prefix insert - no monthly charge?

Unanswered Question

We are currently using ISDN for our backup lines. I was asked if we can insert a special 6-digit number before dialing the 1+area code+number in the dialer string we would not have to pay a monthly requirement due to the new LD access code.

I tried this on our 2620 and 3640, but had unsuccessful results. This was the error I received.

3y34w: ISDN Se3/0:23 Q931: RX <- DISCONNECT pd = 8 callref = 0x880A

Cause i = 0x829C - Invalid number format (incomplete number)

3y34w: ISDN Se3/0:23 Q931: TX -> RELEASE pd = 8 callref = 0x080A

Does anyone have any information about inserting additional numbers within the dialer string?

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

I have this problem too.

Please collect "debug isdn q931" with "term mon". If the called number is exactly like you have been told do dial, and does not work, you have to bring this up with the service provider.

Hope this helps, please rate post if it does!
