CSS SSL module requirement

This is from a beginner on configuring a CSS for SSL termination. Having scanned through the SSL Config guide, not sure whether a separate SSL IO module is required. Can basic SSL termination(without acceleration) be configured on the base SCM module? Thanks.

I think, you can do basic SSL termination configured on the base SCM module. But I am sending very useful URL for you please spend some time following document:
