I have two routers connected with each other using the two serial link... now i have one question and that is which feature will be best... to configure the Multilink PPP between both the router and have binding the two physical interface into single using logical multilink interface or

configuring the Loopback interface on both the router and then creating tunnel between both the router using tunnel source and destination as appropriate loopback address.

so which one is best?

Hi,

the second choice is not an option to aggregate links. Actually, it may even prevent load sharing to happen and bring serious problebms because routing will be done over the external address only.

The choice is between MLPPP and regular CEF load sharing algorithm. The first is more CPU intensive, add a small delays makes load balancing perfect without unwanted consequences. However, for simplicty, unless you have a good reason not to use, I would suggest the default CEF load sharing.

Hope this helps, please rate post if it does!
