Using DC power with VG224

Just wondering if anyone out there has successfully deployed a VG224 using DC power. I'm just interested in hearing what you did for the connector, and if there are any ready made cables out there rather than having to crip my own. Also, what exactly are all the pinouts for (see below) ?

Do I need to connect both power and return pairs or is just one enough?

Thanks, Lelio

Pin Number Descriptions

1 GND (input enable)

5 ON_BAT (battery is on)

2 +12V (power)

6 +12V (power)

3 REP_BAT (replace battery)

7 LOW_BAT (battery is low)

4 GND (power return)

8 GND (power return)

Vg224 on a UPS that can hold power for a few hours, you would still be able to provide power to the fsx ports or even

using AC with AC UPS with longer uptime. You can use DC power you need to plug it to the port number 8 as shown in the picture given below in the link

I was actually looking for input on the physical connectors used.
