Greetings
I have installed new Cisco Catalyst 4507R Switch with Redundant Supervisor Engines IIPlus.
Before that I had the Cisco Catalyst Switch 4006 which was running the CatOS along with three modules installed which are as follows:
1. WS-X4232-L3
2. WS-X4424-GB-RJ45
3. WS-X4424-GB-RJ45
After insertion of these modules into the Switch 4507R, the modules WS-X4424-GB-RJ45 are dtected successfully and working fine but for the module WS-X4232-L3 is detected as unsupported module.
Do I need to perform some special configuration or i am missing something?
The sh version and sh module is as follows:

Hi
I don't think this card is supported by the Supervisor Engine IIPlus.
Attached is the data sheet for the Sup II Plus. Scroll down to supported modules. The WS-X4232-L3 is not on the list.

Hi Mansoor,
You already have sup 2+ which has routing capability so you do not need to have 4232 L3 blade in the chassis. So this blade will not work when you have sup 2+ in the chassis.

According to the Datasheet there are two entries related to 4232 which are
? WS-X4232-GB-R-Cisco Catalyst 4500 32-Port 10/100 RJ-45), 2 Gigabit Ethernet (GBIC) module
? WS-X4232-RJ-XX-Cisco Catalyst 4500 32-Port 10/100 Module (RJ-45), plus modular uplink slot
In the second entry what is meaning of 'XX'
