Hi, the 857w has a good radio interface, certainly better than older 350 series (that was quite good) for example, I got weak clients at -92 db to connect and work!

You may want to inspect yourself with a trusted laptop the signal quality. Perhaps, do a netstumbler sweep and choose a channel in the most free space.
