Solved: IPCCX License issue

Hello all,

We have IPCC 4.0(5) IPCX-40PRE-HAS-1B=

It is for Cisco 7825/7835 server. Can we install this package on Cisco 7845 server?

Your best bet is to check the product upgrade tool with your contract number and create and online order to upgrade.

Once you have generated an order email licensing@cisco.com

Include your order ID and your old license and ask them to change the server type.

Formally the answer is no. You are installing in a new server and it requires a new OS. If you have a service contract then you can generate an RMA for the SW Kit and request a New Kit for 7845. Just make sure to return the 7825/35 SW Kit with the COA Sticker on it.

This procedure is because the OS is provided by MS and the only way Cisco can send you a new SW Kit without paying royalty fee to MS is by returning the SW kit.
