HWIC-CABLE-D-2 in 2600 series routers.

Hey all,

My first post here so thanks for having me.

Is their any way the HWIC-CABLE-D-2 can be compatible with 2600 series Cisco routers or if not, is there a DOCSIS WIC or NM that can be used in the 2600's?

I like the idea of having complete control over the entire WAN connection instead of using an external, unmanageable and unmonitored device for the RF interface.

Regards

Kris

Welcome to the forums!

No, you cannot use an HWIC in a 2600 series router. HWICs are used in the x800 series ISR routers (1800, 2800,3800 ...).

You can use some/most WICs in an HWIC slot, but not the other way around.

Good Luck

Scott
