CCNA expires tomorrow, what to do?

Unanswered Question

Hi,

My ccna certification expires tomorrow and I was planning to take a CCSP exam in a months time. What would I need to do now?

Would I need to take the CCNA exam again? Or is there a professional exam which would recertify my ccna and move on?

Thanks in advance,

Rajith.

I have this problem too.

Hi Rajith,

Have you taken and passed any of the 642 exam for CCSP (or any 642 professional level) before your current CCNA certification expires tomorrow?

If yes, your CCNA has already been recertified as stated in CCNA Recertification Process http://www.cisco.com/web/learning/le3/le2/le0/le9/learning_certification_type_home.html

"CCNA certifications are valid for three years. To recertify, either pass the current CCNA exam, or pass the ICND exam, or pass any 642 professional level or Cisco Specialist exam (excluding Sales Specialist exams), or pass a current CCIE written exam."

If NO, you need to take and pass CCNA again.
