Hello all,
I have an ASA 5520 with an IPS module.
I lossed the password that I set before, and I wanna to recover. on the Cisco Website I found the command :
hw-module module 1 password-recover
but i don't found that command
Any suggestion??

hw-module module 1 password-reset will work if you are running 7.2 code and running IPS 6.0E1. Other wise you have to reimage the whole box.

Do a sh module 1 and paste it on here.
u need to find out what IOS u r running on your ASA and which IPS version is sunning on your AIP SSM module.
if IOS is 7.2(2) IPS versin is 6.0 then hw-module modile 1 password-reset command would work to change username / password back to cicso / cisco
if IPS is 5.0 then ul have to reimage the IPS module.
procedure can be fount at the Command line reference guide for IPS 5.0 ( under reimaging AIP SSM 10 section )
