hw-module module 1 password-reset will work if you are running 7.2 code and running IPS 6.0E1. Other wise you have to reimage the whole box.

Information about reimaging can be found in the following document:

http://www.cisco.com/en/US/products/hw/vpndevc/ps4077/products_configuration_guide_book09186a008055dbb1.html

Do a sh module 1 and paste it on here.

u need to find out what IOS u r running on your ASA and which IPS version is sunning on your AIP SSM module.

if IOS is 7.2(2) IPS versin is 6.0 then hw-module modile 1 password-reset command would work to change username / password back to cicso / cisco

if IPS is 5.0 then ul have to reimage the IPS module.

procedure can be fount at the Command line reference guide for IPS 5.0 ( under reimaging AIP SSM 10 section )

i just had the same problem myself :-)

reate if this post helps.
