Port channels have ifIndex after replacing a line card.

On a cat6k running CatOS 8.x, two port channels (consisted of two pairs of gig ports each, from two different line cards) completely disappeared, as far as SNMP is concerned, after one of the line cards was replaced. However, the port channels show up at the switch's CLI. The ifIndexes reported in "show port channel" just don't appear in snmpwalk results of ifEntry. How to go about getting them reappear to SNMP?

Problems like this are almost always switch bugs. I can't find one that matches, so you may be hitting a new bug. The workaround is almost always to reload the switch. You should open a TAC service request so that a more detailed analysis (and possibly recreate) can be done.

Do you mean it's possibly a software (CatOS) or hardware (cat6k) bug?

Most likely a CatOS software bug.

TAC is pointing to CSCec49504. I don't think it's the same issue.

I agree, based on your initial description, it sounds like these channels are missing from the ifTable altogether. This bug is requesting that ifIndexes for channels persist across reboots and module changes.

Of course, maybe I misunderstood your problem description.
