Hi all,

I know that if i configure ipsec over a tunnel gre, i can configure it in a transport mode, only if the peer IPSEC are the same of the GRE one's.

Otherwise i'm obliged to configure it in tunnel mode.

Can somoene send me some technical reference, url...where I can found detail about it?

Many Thanks in advance

Gianluca

Transport Mode: An encapsulation mode for AH/ESP. Transport Mode encapsulates the upper layer payload (such as Transmission Control Protocol (TCP) or User Datagram Protocol (UDP)) of the original IP datagram. This mode can only be used when the peers are the endpoints of the communication.

setting up the IP MTU to 1440 is recommended for transport mode.
