Call Manager Upgrade question

Good day, Gents,


Want to ask what can be advantages if I upgrade Call Manager software


from 4.1.3 sr 4d

to 4.2.3 sr 2


Are these advantages can be essential or not ?

Does it make sense ?


I mean is this a fritterware ?

Hi Tobivan,


Just to add a note to Jorg's great info (5 points for your continued good work Jorg) This upgrade is certainly not essential. The 4.2 release does add some really great features (marked with **) If you do not have the need for these changed/added features I wouldn't upgrade to CCM 4.2. It sounds like soon to be released CCM 6.0 might be worth waiting for.

It really depends on your needs. Here are the new capabilities that CCM 4.2(3) has:

Keep in mind that if you upgrade to CCM 4.2(3) you won't be able to upgrade to CCM 5 since is not on the compatibility matrix:
