Failure to receive external calls - E1 r2-digital

Sometimes users can't receive calls from public network, checking the gateways during the problem we got something like:

voice_gtw#show voice port summary

IN OUT

PORT CH SIG-TYPE ADMIN OPER STATUS STATUS EC

============== == ============ ===== ==== ======== ======== ==

0/0/0:1 01 r2-digital up dorm idle idle y

0/0/0:1 02 r2-digital up up answered idle y

0/0/0:1 03 r2-digital up dorm idle idle y

0/0/0:1 04 r2-digital up up clearfwd idle y

0/0/0:1 05 r2-digital up up clearfwd idle y

0/0/0:1 06 r2-digital up up answered idle y

0/0/0:1 07 r2-digital up up clearfwd idle y

0/0/0:1 08 r2-digital up dorm idle idle y

0/0/0:1 09 r2-digital up up clearfwd idle y

0/0/0:1 10 r2-digital up dorm idle idle y

0/0/0:1 11 r2-digital up up clearfwd idle y

We noticed that a lot of ports remains at clearfwd at IN STATUS.

Shutting and bringing up the controller makes it work fine again and calls from everywhere can reach the users again

Anyone knows what the "clearfwd" status meam ? After the controller recycle the status of "clearfwd" suddenly disapear ! Taking advantage from this post, anyone knows a documentation that explains everything about the "show voice port summary command" ?

regards,

Ricardo

I have this problem too.

Hi,

This is very useful, I took a look at the post you've said and I've found a lot of "possible" answers to this problem.

I will work on it and as soon as I solve it I would post the solution used.

Again, thank you so much !

Regards,

Ricardo

Hi!

I have the same issue described by Ricardo, I try the link http://forum.cisco.com/eforum/servlet/NetProf?page=netprof&forum=Service%20Providers&topic=Voice%20over%20IP&CommCmd=MB%3Fcmd%3Ddisplay_location%26location%3D.1dde596b but this link dont display any info about this subject.

Can anyone help me with this problem?? I have the following configuration and the country is Angola (not suported in cas-custom).

controller E1 0/0/0
framing NO-CRC4
ds0-group 1 timeslots 1-15 type r2-digital r2-compelled ani
ds0-group 2 timeslots 17-31 type r2-digital r2-compelled ani
cas-custom 2
  metering
  dnis-complete

Many thanks,

Best regards,

Josué
