Hi,

BGP is supported starting from SP (Service Provider) feature set image.

Please see attached pic.

So I have to purchase the BGP module?

When I try to type

Router BGP

I get an error message stating that the protocol is not included in this image

Hi,

This means that your image is most probably an IP Base image, you'll need to download at least a SP image.

Hi,

You can download it from Cisco website if you have a valid account:

Use Cisco IOS Feature Navigator:

Though Mohammed is right that all SP eservices image would support BGP, this is not the only feature set you would be looking for to run BGP.

The advance IP services and Enterprise service feature set also support BGP.

The advance security feature set did not support BGP but beginning with 12.4(4)T BGP support was added to this feature set..

Use the feature-navigator to see the features supported by your IOS

HTH, rate if it does
