Clearing the OSPF Process

Unanswered Question

Hi all,

Slightly related to my earlier thread, but two of my routers are running different versions of the IOS. One is using version 12.1 and the other is using 12.0. The one with 12.0 does not show the option of process when I type in 'clear ip ospf ?'

Any ideas how to clear the processes? What I need to do is to clear the process so as to force a new DR/BDR election after changing the parameters.

The router running 12.1 works well, however, that does not cause the other router to restart its process, and the only way I can do it is with a 'reload'.

Kind regards.

You can shutdown the interface in the router you need to become non-DR as a workaround, read the configuration guide of the IOS release and check if the command avilable or not.
