Multicast info Required

I need to know info regarding multicast ip ike 224.0.0.2 and 224.0.0.4 how to route to these ip and y they are really used kindly if some one can attach info regarding multicast address i will be thankfull

as i tried ip route 224.0.0.2 255.255.255.255 X.X.X.X but it didnt worked

These IP addresses 224.0.0.2 (All routers multicast) and 224.0.0.4 (Distance Vector Multicast Routing Protocol) are not routable. You can Ping them, filter them with ACL's but they are used for multicast applications. You should have no need to route these addresses....

Gr8 but do I have to configure that multicast

or some thing as soem buddy told me that he needs data from a server 224.0.0.2 and 224.0.0.4 on few ports so what to do plz let me know
