LDAP user deployment

I'm new to CCM LDAP intergation and would appreciated if anyone can shed some lights on this.

I have a customer who wants to integrate their AD with CCM 5.1. The question I have is for CCM 5.x, it no longer does schema extension. Once CCM pulls the user database from LDAP, how can i assign the user with the correct phone profile e.g. a 7961G instead of a 7911G? Can this still be achieved via BAT? I read on CCO documentation that once LDAP option is activated, we can no longer update 'End User' on CCM 5.1. Is this true?

With AD intergration you can change any parameter, manualy or with BAT, only can't add a new user in CCM. User parameter defined in AD you change in AD and then synchronize LDAP in CCM.
