Cisco IP Communicator- dropping calls?

Greetings. I am connecting to my company VPN using Cisco VPN client, and then I launch the Communicator to connect VoIP. I've noticed that after about 60 seconds(sometimes more, sometimes less) after the call is established, I can longer hear anything, nor can the other side, and then the call drops.

I've tested my broadband connection, everything appears to be running flawless, as does my vpn connection. I suppose it could be the Plantronics USB headset work purchased me, but it seems to work ok with other processes. So I'm a bit lost. Any ideas? Anyone seen this before?

Thanks!

Hi Scott,

I would try first to install the latest version of CIPC available in CCO.

After that you can make some tests.

1. After the call is established gather sniffer trace to see if we are still sending packets.

2. Check statistics in VPN to see if we are encrypting|decrypting after audio is dropped.

3. Try to use other non-USB headset to test.
