I am needing some help with our router.
We are software development company and we releasing a new product, so we are sending out and 20,000+emails to notify our current customers. The problem that we are having is that when we perform this activity our HTTP traffic slows way down.
Here is what I have done. Put the SMTP server on a seperate VLAN (99), Monitored internal traffic and no slow down internally. Checked bandwidth (T1 line) and it is not getting used up completly. Checked DNS and it still perform rather quickly. We think this is a problem with the Router because we now have it plugged straight in to the router and are experiencing the issue everytime we start trying to send out this bulk list of emails.
Thank you for your help.
