my CCNA is expiring

hi guys,

my ccna is expiring on november. how can i extend it ? it says on the site that i have to take any 642 exam. will taking bsci extend my ccna another 3 years ? how bout bsci ? how long will it be valid ? coz i cannot complete ccnp in a year.

If let say i passed bsci, how many years will this be valid ? it will take me around 2 years maybe to complete ccnp.

Hi,

If you mean your CCNA after recertifying it with BSCI, it will be valid for 3 years.

If you mean BSCI for CCNP, it will be valid until the exam number (i.e. BSCI 642-801) is retired. Always check the CCNP certifications path page to monitor it.

Just a minor correction to the otherwise complete and correct info:

If you are allowed to take the BCSI (i.e., it hasn't expired), then it is valid for three years, not until it is retired.

Otherwise, someone could take the test the day before it retired, and it would only be good for a day .... the tests are good for three years.
