Hi,

I'm puzzling over the difference between the packet drops shown under "show interface" and "show queueing interface".

What I see is that the output drops shown in "show interface" are always exactly double the number shown under "show queueing interface".

e.g.

SWITCH1#show interface gig1/1 | inc drops

Input queue: 0/2000/0/0 (size/max/drops/flushes); Total output drops: 1079616

SWITCH1#show queueing interface gig1/1 | beg dropped

Packets dropped on Transmit:

BPDU packets: 0

queue thresh dropped [cos-map]

---------------------------------------------------

1 1 539808 [0 ]

1 2 0 [1 ]

2 1 0 [4 2 ]

2 2 0* [3 6 7 ]

3 1 0* [5 ]

* - shared transmit counter

Has anyone seen this or have an explanation?

thanks,

Andrew.
