Upgrade 4503 to include 7204VXR

We have 2x C4503 SUP IV that can carry around 130K routes. We are taking full routing tables from all our operators.

Split the internet routes up between 2 of them, but now we need to upgrade and 7204VXR is within our price range and not a 6509 sup720-3bxl.

I want to know if we buy the 7204VXR connect it to the C4503, will we be able to take full routing tables then? and which hardware will be doing the routing the VXR or the C4503?

I want to be able to upgrade to the fastest possible solution with the least price tag! heard that before right!

if i m in ur place i would definitely go with Cisco 7204VXR series router to handle the internet routing table and leave your C4503 to take care of the core switching part.

Theres one more product recently been launched by cisco on VXR family which is Cisco 7201 router.
