Duplicate Entries in Usertracking (Campus Version 4.0.8)

Usertracking reports multiple entries only with different time stamps (same MAC,IP,Switch,Port etc. only the time-stamp ). Reinit of the ani-database have no effect. After few days there are multiple entries again. Campus Version is 4.0.8 - i thought the problem is resolved with 4.0.6. The only difference to other LMS server is an entry called "UTMultiAddr=<ip-address:ip-address.*.*:...>

Never heard about this. Somebody knows about this ?

This UTMultiAddr property was something I created for a one-time patch. It is no longer needed. The patch that provided this is no obsolute as of Campus 4.0.4. If you have re-applied it over Campus 4.0.8, that would be a serious problem. However, if the class file patches have not been applied, having this property in ANIServer.properties is a no-op.

If in doubt you will need to re-apply the LMS 2.6 update, then re-patch everything up to your current state.

If the problem persists, the best way to troubleshoot this is to reinit the ANI database again, then enable vmpsadmin debugging under Campus Manager > Admin > Campus Data Collection > Debugging Options, and run a new acquisition. Then trace one duplicated MAC through the logs to see how it's getting in there.
