Unmounted LWAP

Unanswered Question

I was wondering if you can use the Cisco LWAP in an eviroment where they will not be mounted and will be moving from room to room through out the day. The controller would be in another building connected by a T1. I was thinking that once they are primed, not too much data should giong between the controler and the LWAP. Currently we have to plug the access point in and then boot up the laptops. By the time the laptops are ready the access point is ready. This is what I wold need the LWAP to be able to do.

I have this problem too.

Yes that could be pretty much done. Since it is a T1 link speed between access points and controller would be agreeable and the access point should be deployed in REAP mode.
