Was this license previously used for another install?

1. Go to: VPN/Security Management Solution > Administration > Common

Services > Licensing Information and verify the VMS license is still


2. Check to see if the casuser has read/write permission

3. IDS MC and Security Monitor we only support Windows 2000, US-Western

English (North American English). If needed, Change it under: "Start > Settings > Control Panel >

Regional Options ->General > Your locale (location) = English(United


4. If Terminal Services is install on the server it can cause problems with

install a license.

1. Uninstall all VMS applications

2. Go to Control Panel > Add/Remove Software > Software Components >

Terminal Services. Disable them.

3. Re-install the VMS software. During the installation, specify the new

license file.

5. The partition on the hard drive which has the Security Monitor log or the

Syslog is full.

6. Try Rebooting the server.
