Cisco Router and Security Device Manager (SDM) is a tool that can be used to proactively manage Cisco IOS software-based router resources and security before they affect mission-critical applications on the network. Security Manager provides the ability to start SDM without the need for SDM to be installed on your router.

2950 and SDM???? 2950 can't accomodate the SDM software. Are you talking about the Cisco Device Manager?

3650... non of the switches with the web interface shows traffic on the ports.

I've tested in 10 of them.

Use 3rd party software, like Solarwinds. It's more accurate and you can create a report.

I used to use a software called CyberGauge (by Neon Software). The company was bought by SolarWinds in 2006.
