Cisco Client VPN freezes Win Remote Desktop

After installing Cisco VPN client software, ver. 4.6.03.0021 on my WinXP SP2 box, sessions using standard Windows VPN and Remote Desktop freeze once connected. If I change the remote desktop setting to 256 colors and none of the advanced settings, I can connect and see the remote desktop, but when I click, it's frozen to me.

Mr Wintraub I also have problems with Cisco VPN client freezing my PC. The VPN tunnel works for a while and the PC Freezes and can only be restarted with the on/off button. Version of VPN client is 4.8.01.0300. OS is windows XP 2002/sp 2. The same problem is valid at two different computers of different brands, which I use at home.

Suggestions - any one?

I fixed the problem by lowering the MTU to 1200. Good luck!
