Any extra power supply or power redundancy on cat 2960 switches?

Hi, I need to provide a small, but reliable 1000MB switch to connect two mainframes network adapters (intracommunication).

Since power supplies are a common point of failure in switch, is there anything I could do to offer redundant power supplies on such Catalyst 2960G-8TC switch?

Cisco Catalyst 2960G-8TC Compact Switch

Download Software for this product.

7 Ethernet 10/100/1000 ports and 1 dual-purpose uplink (dual-purpose uplink port has one 10/100/1000 Ethernet port and one SFP-based Gigabit Ethernet port, 1 port active).

LAN base image installed

Compact size and no fan

Magnet included

Order cable guard and rack mount kits separately

I have this problem too.

Hi Friend,

Cisco RPS 675 and 300 would have been a good option but Catalyst 2960-8TC and 2960G-8TC switches do not have an RPS connector.

About Cisco RPS 675

About Cisco RPS 300

On the other hand these RPS 300 are EOS and RPS 675 will be EOS by October 15, 2007.
