Dears
I try to configure ATOM in two routers 7206VXR (NPE-G2) with IOS c7200p-advipservicesk9-mz.124-11.T1.bin as the following :
-first router
interface ATM2/0.100 point-to-point
no snmp trap link-status
pvc 0/1234 l2transport
encapsulation aal5
xconnect 10.1.1.1 50 encapsulation mpls
-second router
interface ATM2/0.100 point-to-point
no snmp trap link-status
pvc 0/1234 l2transport
encapsulation aal5
xconnect 10.1.1.2 50 encapsulation mpls
But vc is down !!!
Local intf Local circuit Dest address VC ID Status
------------- -------------------------- --------------- ---------- ----------
AT2/0.100 ATM AAL5 0/100 10.1.1.1 50 DOWN
I need to know if 7206VXR (NPE-G2) support ATOM configuration or not
----------------------------------
I made the same configuration in 2 routers Cisco 7206VXR (NPE-G1) with IOS c7200-js-mz.123-8.T5.bin and vc is up
Local intf Local circuit Dest address VC ID Status
------------- -------------------- --------------- ---------- ----------
AT1/0.300 ATM AAL5 2/300 172.21.1.3 300 UP
Please advice
Thank you

Mohamed,
Could you please include a "show mpls l2 vc detail"
Thanks,

Mohamed,
I should have asked for both sides to start with. Can you include the same command for the other PE.
Thanks,

Mohamed,
Are these two routers directly connected? Can you do a "show mpls ldp bind 172.21.1.40 32" on PE1, a "show mpls ldp bind 172.21.1.30 32" on PE2 and a "show mpls ldp nei" on both.

Mohamed,
Could you include the "show mpls ldp bin 172.21.1.40 32" from PE1.
Also include a "show ip route 172.21.1.40" from PE1 and "show ip route 172.21.1.30" from PE2.

not sure if I followed complete thread properly to understand which VC (0/100 or 0/1234?) we are troubleshooting. From some of the outputs PVC, VCID and Remotepeer ID is vs cfgs are different. If its possible pls provide following additional outputs to debug further from both side of PE & do u have ppt/visio topology describing your network?!...
s run
s int atx/y
s mpls l2 vc
s mpls for
s mpls int
ping mpls ipv4
Turn on following debugs ONLY if its not going to impact your network, if yes then only provide show cmds output and ignore following request:
- debug mpls l2 vc event
- debug mpls l2 sig event
- debug mpls l2 sig fsm
int atmx/y.z
sh
no sh
thanks,
rahul.

Mohamed,
Can you do a "sh ip cef 172.21.1.40" on PE1 and a "show ip cef 172.21.1.30" on PE2.

Mohamed,
I have a feeling the issue is that CEF is not enabled on one of the two PEs, hence me asking for the "show ip cef". That is the only thing I can see that would be causing the VC to stay down even though the labels (IGP and VC labels) are being exhanged properly. Make sure you enable CEF on both PEs.
Hope this helps,

Mohamed,
Interesting. Could you please provide the full config for both PEs.

Hi Mohammed,
Could you try with the advance enterprise feature set.
The "Feature Navigator" tool suggests ATOM" AAL5oMPLS is suggested with either Enterprise or Service Provider feature set.
HTH,
Pankaj
