I have a CM5.1 which is SFTPing out CDR to 2 servers. One server is fing and is receiving CDR fine the other server however is receiving CDR records over a day old. I have restarted CDR services and deleted the server from "CDR management" and re added it but it just continued on from where it left off, the records are still delyed. Is the some way to delete the redords to force it to catch up. I am not too worried about looksing the recored and I have a copy of them on the other server anyway.

I'm not sure if this is your problem, but I had one very similar. Looking at the CDR load logs I was seeing error messages as follows:

2007-03-23 03:29:55,731 ERROR [DailyCdrLoad] services.SchThread - run(): Unknown Exception while running the job

java.lang.OutOfMemoryError

2007-03-23 03:29:55,732 INFO [DailyCdrLoad] services.SchThread - updateEventLog(): -->

2007-03-23 03:29:55,733 DEBUG [DailyCdrLoad] services.LogWrapper - SchJobs[getJobType]|<-->|scheduler|A

2007-03-23 03:29:55,733 DEBUG [DailyCdrLoad] services.LogWrapper - SchJobs[getJobType]|<-->|scheduler|A

2007-03-23 03:29:55,733 DEBUG [DailyCdrLoad] services.LogWrapper - SchJobs[getJobType]|<-->|scheduler|A

There is a a known bug that I was running into. CSCsh58483

The fix was to change the loader schedule as follows:

Time: 00:00

Loading Interval: Every 30 minutes

duration: 25

Uninhibited load is set from 00:00 to 00:00.

These are the settings the TAC gave me. I haven't had any trouble since and don't suffer from any performance issues when running the loader during the day. My publisher is the last server my devices register to.

Hope this helps.

I found the problem. One of the SFTP servers had stopped and the recored duild up on the CM. When the SFTP server came back the CM just continued on from where it left off, rather than dunping all the records to bring it up to date.

Hello,

Can you explain me how are you SFTPing the CDR database?

Is it scheduled to make it regularly? what option/function are you using in the appliance?

Thank you!

On Callmanager 5.X go to the serviceability page, then goto the tools menu and CDR management. Here you have the option to add in te ip address of an FTP (or SFTP) server. The Callamanger will then FTP out the CDR files in CSV format every minute

Thank you for your answer. Just another brief question:

-> can we query directly the informix cdr database from an external application, without have to export the entire table regularly?
