I am just standing in until a new network guy is hired. My company is trying to make a successful connection via SFTP in order to do some work. However, they are not allowed to connect. The thought is that the problem resides in our firewall. So, I need to create a rule (access-list???) to allow our machine to talk to another machine outside of our network. I don't know if I need something added to inside or outside. I have never done this before. So if anyone can provide me the code to make this work I would really appreciate it. The port being used is 10021. When the employees try to connect to this outside machine they get the following message from their SmartFTP window: No connection could be made because the target machine actively refused it.
I have this problem too.
